Competitive Analysis
Competitive analysis reveals your brand's social media and web visibility compared to your competitors -- who is talked about more, which platforms they stand out on, and how public perception differs. In Panalora, this is done through the Competitive Intelligence module.
What is competitive intelligence?
Competitive intelligence is an analysis discipline based on systematically monitoring competing brands' public social media and web presence, and comparing it with your own brand in terms of visibility, sentiment, and content. In Panalora, this comparison runs automatically and continuously.
How can I track my competitors?
In the Panalora dashboard, you define your own brand (as the "own" type) and up to 5 active competitor brands for a company. For each competitor, you connect supported social accounts such as X and Instagram; the system checks these accounts at regular intervals and collects new posts.
How is competitors' social media performance compared?
Collected posts are compared in terms of posting frequency, platform distribution, and -- through AI analysis -- sentiment trend. This lets you find concrete, data-backed answers to questions like "Was Competitor A more active this week?" or "Is the conversation about Competitor B more positive?"
What is Share of Voice?
Share of Voice is the ratio showing how much of the total conversation volume among the monitored brands belongs to your brand. Panalora's Voice Attribution feature calculates this ratio by comparing post volume between your own brand and the competitors you've defined -- giving a concrete percentage answer to "how much of the market conversation is ours."
How is competitors' sentiment distribution compared?
Every post is classified by AI as positive/negative/neutral. Panalora's Sentiment Comparison view shows this distribution side by side for your brand and your competitors; you can also track how a competitor's overall perception changes over time.
What data does Panalora show in competitive analysis?
- Share of Voice: the distribution of conversation volume between your brand and your competitors
- Sentiment Comparison: the positive/negative/neutral distribution across platforms, compared with competitors
- Competitive Score: regular snapshots taken to track change over time
- Alerts: notifications for significant changes based on the thresholds you define
- Weekly/Monthly AI Analyst Reports: periodic summaries and commentary
Who is this suitable for?
Competitive intelligence is suitable for marketing teams, brand managers, and agencies managing multiple companies/brands -- anyone who wants to answer "how do we look compared to our competitors" with data.
